Nanoveu (ASX:NVU) recently acquired EMASS, a semiconductor company with Intellectual Property (IP) that enables a very novel approach to bringing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to devices at the Edge of the Internet, such as cameras, mobile phones, robots etc, a high-growth market for semiconductors.

On 13 February 2025 we spoke with Mark Goranson, the new CEO of Nanoveu's (ASX:NVU) Semiconductor Division. NVU recently acquired EMASS and its Edge AI chip technology, which is 20x more energy-efficient than current products on the market.

EMASS already has boards being sampled by prospects, but will make further iterations to its chip design to enhance the product. This includes replacing the current MRAM modules by ReRAM, which will enable more robust and higher density non-volatile on-chip memory.
